Well I started my upgrade tonight. Very late at night lol.

Upgraded return pump MJ-1200

Two IM spin streams.

Light is a AI prime HD white. With gooseneck mount.

Koralia nano 425GPH.

IM ghost skimmer fullsized

Cobalt neo-therm heater.

Planned upgrades.

Filter tray. Either the custom one or the socks. Hate the stock one.

Another koralia. Probably 425-500.

Floating magnet rock shelf.

Current Stock. (Their not transferred yet)

Two osc clownfish. (Not adding anymore fish, maybe a yellow clown goby in a few weeks)

4 micro blue hermits.

1 trochus snail.

2 frogspawn.

1 hammer.

2 Xenia.

1 GSP.

1 pipe organ coral.

About 10lbs of cured live rock.

10lbs of live sand. May add more dry sand if it's not

enough to cover The bottom.

Future stock.

Duncan coral.

Torch coral(s)

More hammers and frogs.

Maybe more crabs and another trochus. And nar snails. I'll see how my current crew handles this bigger tank.

Far future stock

Long tentacle plate coral. (6+ mos)

An anenome not 100% sure they scare me (6+ mos)

Fans. Gorgs. Whips (6+mos)

Skunk cleaner shrimp (3+ mos)

Blue tux urchin (6+ mos)

Here's the tank mixing up salt. Playing with the light settings.

Transferred everything over. Everything seems happy. Crabs are crabbing. Corals are open. Fish are exploring they're new home. I'm just having. A micro bubble problem. I stuffed floss over the baffle the skimmers in. Still getting microbubbles. I even filled the back chamber so their isn't a big drop over the baffles.

Any tips?

Can you see a steady stream of microbubbles being pumped out through the return nozzles?

Yes. Not steady but off and on. Thinking theirs air trapped in the back and the bubbles are getting sucked up. I'll give it a today or two.

Welcome to Atlantis. 262d26d98612bd373727d609f4db2a4d.jpg

Added my rock. Ammo nitrites were 0. I put in a pack of phosgaurd just to be safe and a little prime. Used fluval reef puffy to stick everything together.

The Greek pillars have GSP frags on them. Their traumatized from being cut up. hopefully they'll open soon.

Loving it so far.

Would like to add 1 or 2 small fish next week

I got a bonus hitch hiker on the rock. Coral banded shrimp popped out of the hole. Idk how he survived a week in a bucket but I'm glad he did. .

Nice start. Eventually, you're going to have to add more space between the Euphyllia. The spacing that you have is too close and they will quickly interfere with one another as new heads grow.

I should do it now before the putty cures. Takes 2 hours according to the booklet. Thanks for the tip.

If stuff isn't too heavily encrusted on the frag discs, it may look better if you can remove them from the disc and glue them (using super glue gel) directly to your rock. It'll provide for a more natural-looking contour when it grows out. Otherwise, you'll always see the unnatural-looking disc shape under the coral.

The GSP? I tried it's really on there. I wanted to frag it and spread it more on that rock because I want that rock completely covered.

Yes. You should be able to run a single-edged razor blade under it or even a putty knife.

That won't hurt it? While I'm at it I might As well chop it up. Cut between the polyp holes right?

It shouldn't hurt it if you're careful about it. It should come up pretty cleanly. Yes, you can frag it further. You may lose a polyp or two if you're careful. GSP is pretty resilient. Some would say too much so.

I'd be hesitant about throwing an anemone in there if you have a bunch of other corals, especially in a tank that size, and even more especially if you have the koralia running. Had a bad tank crash awhile ago because the 'nem got too big and decided to travel and got sucked into a powerhead, this despite using a powerhead cover. 'Nems grow big, fast, and have a tendency to split, and if they're unhappy, they'll just start wandering. My original rbta started at 3" across and got as large as 15" across fully opened, and that doesn't include 3 splits. I still love them, and I have a couple of large rainbow anemone's in my home system, but for that reason I decided to keep to zoas and other softies and isolate the anemone's to one corner of the tank and sell the extra splits, but over the years I've lost quite a few corals to them. If you're debating getting an anemone to host the clowns, in my experience they're just as likely to host a duncan or hammer or even the gsp when it gets big enough, and you won't have to worry about them damaging the rest of the livestock.

Nems scare me. No nems for me. I do however want a long tentacle plate coral

Donated my purple Xenia to the children's science lab Dave works at. Sold pipe organ and clam. Now the whole right side is empty besides a small bare rock. can't move anything over it's all glued down..

Only one solution. MORE CORAL!!!! Gimme gimme gimme.

I need hight. Too much air space. My sister does wonders with clay. I'm thinking about buying a bunch of reef putty and having her make a cool tower looking thing I can attach coral to. That stuff turns purple after a while anyway.

Time to google cool looking towers. (I don't know why but the ivory tower from the never ending story is coming to mind) lol

Do you have a current full tank shot (FTS)? For me, that negative space is highly desirable (things will quickly grow into).

I'll get you one when I get home. Theirs just a "shelf" live rock about fist sized. Lol.

Well that whole corner WAS empty when I left today my wife redecorated. She put a Duncan on the sand and the pulsing Xenia on the self and moved my pillar over.

I found pale pink branching GSP. vs the dark purple matting. I chopped it up and glued it a few pillars. I think it'll grow out cool.

Everything is happy and healthy. Just thought I'd give an update. Victor gave me some duncans that weren't doing very well in his tank. Because he zero'd out his nitrates. Hopefully they'll like mine at 5-ish. And some beautiful acros. Thakki's pocci is up on a little suction cup on a plug. That's happy. Need to find a place for it he said it had sweepers. Let's see what else. I bought a pink torch from Dan. Waiting for it to open. It's slowly opening. I want more lol. He also gave me a red monti cap. That's also on a suction and plug up there.

Only bad news I have is the Royal gramma has been freaking out since a few days. No ick. Just since he got bristled he doesn't move. Just lays on the sand under an over hang. I might give him back to BRK let them try I don't know what to do.

Besides all that clowns are happy. Fire fish comes out all the time now and hangs out with the clowns. CBS is Satan I told Dave he can have him for the kids lab lol. Here's a far away pic as I'm lazy to get up lol

Lol I can't go much bigger I don't have the space I'm eyeing the IM 40 long. But I like this one. I know I have a ton of coral but that's what I always wanted.

$800 bucks. Can't do it. If I were to go big it would be with a stand and canopy. Something tall not wide.
