Joshifer August 29, 2016 Share August 29, 2016 (edited) I couldn't find anything small enough for this 6 gallon. So I have two 92 GPH return pumps facing each other one on each end. Do you think that's too much? I don't wanna stress anything out with too much flow. I can dial them down. Their fully open now. Sand isn't flying. Few dunes here and there. Nothing major. waiting for the biofilm to settle it. But it's not kicking it up or making a sand storm. My concern is for the fish being stressed from the flow. Theirs low flow spots in the front of the tank they can relax in but they seem to be hanging out in the back high flow area. (2 1 inch osc clowns) or are they playing in the current. Kinda like a hamster in a wheel? Edited August 29, 2016 by Joshifer

epleeds August 29, 2016 Share August 29, 2016 I mean upgrade the return pump and take the two pumps you just put in the tank out.
AlanM August 29, 2016 Share August 29, 2016 I think Eric interpreted your post to mean that you put two powerheads in there for flow instead of the two return pumps. From what you described of your flow with the fish playing in the high flow and the sand not blowing around it sounds great.
