Well since I was never nominated for Brute can of the month I guess Ill give my tank another go...

My wife and I are still uncertain whether we are moving or not but one thing is for sure, I miss my tank! I did end up painting the old room where the tank was at and in doing so we decided to move the tank in our bump out room. This rock has been sitting in a brute can curing for a few months and is now showing signs of life. Theres a bunch of micro brittles and limpits living in it. I seeded it with pods but so far I have not seen the first one.. Im still working on the scape but Im somewhat happy with this. Im gonna sit on it for a few days and go from there. Maybe in another week ill have my sand and some fish in it (fingers crossed)

My equipment list so far:

75 gallon deep blue reefready. (hate losing all that corner space but im stuck with it for now)

29 gallon sump

DIY stand

36" 4 lamp ati Sunpower (Blue+ and Coral+ lamps)

36" XHO Reefbrite with dimmer for apex

APEX controller

Breakout box for ato and feed mode

   Jabao apex controller

Bubble Magus curve 7 Skimmer

2- RW 15 Jabao

RIO 2300 return pump

still undecided on macro algea or biopellets. Im leaning towards biopellets and no macro on this build... tbd later on~

Hopefully ill have some better pictures soon once I start moving corals up. Im just going with Zoas, Acans, and Euphyllias. All my colonies were sold off so what I have are just clippings that have been healing in the frag tank.

Yes sir. I have my apex controlling them between 30% and 50% so they are perfect Imo. I really need to figure out how to program my apex. I'm just using the wizard for now.

I went ahead and stuck with the shown scape and added sand at the end of last week. I added my yellow tang and three blue chromis and I'm planning to add a yellow head jawfish and maybe a cardinal fish pair. I don't want a heavy bio load so that maybe it but we will see

For now there's not much more to show. I want to slowly start moving corals up soon but I'm hesitant to until I know for sure I'm not going to have a diatom or algae bloom. So far it looks like my rock did a good job cycling in my brute. I'm seeing pods all over and micro brittle stars so I know I seeded it good.

pictures....we need pictures.

Iam pretty sure you will be fine.  That rock has been cycling for months.  Your zoas would be fine.  I would wait on the acans.

I went ahead and added 4 acan and 3 zoa frags and will see how it goes. Ill probably wait until next week to see how these settle in and then Ill start moving things up.

One thing is for sure, the T5 XHO LED combo is the real deal..

Four of those are yours

I think I'll add the rest of my collection in the next few weeks and break my frag tank down. I set that up in a hurry and don't like several things about it. Maybe I'll go without it and let this tank fill in for awhile

nice zoas. ;)
