Sump:

(Please excuse the sloppy plumbing)

The ATO reservoir is a dog food container. It can hold ~10 gallons of water. Now I just have to wait until AVAST has their peristaltic pump back in stock (it's been backordered for like a month):

Tank's on the 14th day of cycling with Dr. Tim's. Pretty sure it's cycled as I can do a full dose of ammonium chloride and not register any ammonia within 24 hours. Still have some nitrite. Not in a hurry to cycle as I need to quarantine fish for at least 30 days anyways. So I'm just going to let nature do it's thing as the fish go through TTM and observation in the QT. Here are a few more pics:

+1 I see a reef in your future! Nice looking set up. I like the side cabinet and all the open rock space.

Looks like your ready to skip the fowlr and head right to a reef

Looks great!

Funny,  I was thinking "Great! a FOWLR, so I can enjoy the experience of  someone keeping species that would eat my corals and inverts."

It would be great either way.  Nice setup.

Starting with some clowns. Then a bicolor angel or flame angel, kole tang, maybe a one spot foxface, and a Valentini puffer.

Tank is finally cycled and added some Build My LED 20k Multichannel Lights. I sprung for the mutichannel so that I could adjust the color. Wife ended up liking the default settings the best, so I didn't need the mutichannel. Oh well.

Also got rid of the maxspect gyre and went back to jebaos.

Still trying to get the white balance correct and learn how to best use my macro extension tubes.

Well, it's been about a year since I started setting up my tank. Now is as good as time as any to post an update. I am now done stocking it with fish. It took almost a year to do so (6 weeks of QT including TTM for each batch of fish). Here's the stocking list:

Valentini puffer

2 ocellaris clownfish

Bue dot puffer

2 longnose hawkfish

Yellow watchman goby / tiger pistol shrimp pair (not pictured as they are always in their burrow)

One spot foxface

Royal gramma

Bicolor angel

Burgessi butterflish

The first inhabitant, who is still pretty little:

Obligatory clownfish pair:

Blue dot:

How can you resist feeding him when he gives you these eyes?

This foxface was just a little baby when I got him. He became instant good buddies with the blue dot puffer and followed him around all over the tank:

He's now the largest fish in the tank and the biggest chicken too.

Bonded longnose hawkfish pair:

Royal gramma - smallest fish in the tank but pretty tough looking with that scar-looking line across his face. Hawks have been harassing him, but he holds his own against them when they get near his cave:

Embarassed to say how many bicolors I went through before I finally got a hardy (non-cyanide caught) specimen:

Instantly became king of the tank even though he was smaller than most of the other fish.

Then I got this burgessi butterflyfish who dethroned the bicolor and is now the reigning king of the tank:

Has tons of energy and personality. Loves to follow my magfloat around the tank when I clean the glass. Constantly swims around the tank all day long. Kept photobombing all the other fish as I was trying to take their photos.

Looking good ! Dump the rock in the sump for a block of BioPure media . I would live to see a Nem , Leather, Shrooms in there.
