thakki February 1, 2015 Share February 1, 2015 I have an acan coral that I initially bought with 4 heads on a disc...now it has 10 heads...the newly formed heads are on the edge of the disc frag plug...they will need more space to propagate...what's the best way...should I leave the disc on a rock or let it sit on the sand? Rob A February 1, 2015 Share February 1, 2015 I don't know what's best but I had a couple on frag plugs and when they got bigger I glued them to small dome shaped rocks so that they would have a place to spread.

From my experience, if you put it on a rock be prepared for it to spread onto said rock. If you are fine with that and don't intend to frag it then that is the way to go, if not, I would put it on the sand and start thinking on how you can cut a few heads to sell
