Jhead85 September 2, 2014 Share September 2, 2014 I wanna buy a RODI unit..getting tired of running to my brothers to get 5 gallons of water..I only have a 29biocube and would like opinions on what one I should get..looked at the ones that do 75gallons and up cus they have had great reviews..but the few that r 50 or less have horrible reviews..should I just get one from bulk reef that does 75 gallons(5 stage) like my brothers..or is there one out there y'all fellows recommend I buy instead of a big one..thanks
smallreef September 2, 2014 Share September 2, 2014 The 75gpd units tend to have a longer membrane life... You should spend the $20 to join and checkout our for sale section... You can find units fairly cheap...spend $35 in new block filters and be set... Or get with AWI...get a new typhoon and our member discount of the quarter.... MrSexyShrimp September 2, 2014 Share September 2, 2014 Check to see if you have chloramines in your water supply. We do in D.C. Some people say regular RODI can handle chloramines fine, other people say it's better to have a special chloramines stage.
Ryan S September 2, 2014 Share September 2, 2014 I just got a 29g biocube this weekend and ordered the bulkreefsupply 75gpd plus 5 stage ro/Di unit. It's got everything you'd ever need for a small tank or a large one. High quality and lots of fittings too.
