Jason Rhoads April 18, 2014 Share April 18, 2014 That is too bad. What makes me sick isn't the fishermen, but the people who pay for the products that are made from the endangered clams. That is the real driving force in their harvest.
Origami April 18, 2014 Share April 18, 2014 More on the seizure in Malaysia. This seems to be part of a larger problem. Here's another story related to a different seizure off Australia last month with over 200 giant clam shells on board.
sen5241b April 19, 2014 Author Share April 19, 2014 I've seen these giant clam shells on ebay although not for that much money. My wife found a giant clam shell in a nature preserve in Virginia. Obvioulsy somebody left it up there. They are very heavy and I would not even try to lift one.
